The reports from Mar'rha declared that Mok'Rell had begun implanting stones with shards of his soul into creatures of great power to protect himself and prolong his life. A fury had been the target, in one case, but reports indicated that another had been placed within the body of a Magnaron; Gro the Uncreator.
So, Darmok's role in the pack was brought to duty. He and his pack ventured into Gor'Grond, and he'd watch the movements of many of the Magnaron, including Gro, Sor, and even Drov. Their paths had to be avoided by a great degree of space, for the mere span of their strides. In time, Darmok hid out in a cave, and watched as Gro seemed to patrol a section of the Gronn Canyon. A Black Kaliri of his pack would fly notice to the chieftain that Gro's position had been isolated and determined. Thus, he and many others of the pack came to deliver the blow. Gro was struck down, and the shard removed from his corpse, but, there was a disturbing fact revealed.
While holding it in his grasp, the chieftain's grip became locked. He could not let it go, and while he held it, he was riddled with pain. Working together, the clan attempted to wrench his hand free, and shatter the stone upon the rocky ground, but Mok'Rell had already made his appearance before the clan. Oasna, Bagatru, and Korg'hak faced off the warlock, while Darmok attempted to get the chieftain onto one of his wolves, and ride him away to safety. The Chieftain refused to leave though, despite the pain.
With the stone shattered, Mok'Rell was clearly weakened, it was obvious, and with Sara'kah in the shadows to lend aide, and the rest of Darmok's pack, Mok'Rell was nearly taken care of on that spot. However, Mok'Rell had other support. The Tauren Death Knight also spoken of in the reports, stepped out from nowhere. Infused not just with the power of the Scourge's necromantic magic, but also Mok'Rell's own fel tamperings, portals were opened, and the clan was pulled into separate realms of Draenor, or even simply into the void apart from Draenor.
Darmok had no idea where anyone else went, but he only saw a dark realm, filled with mist and shadow. Alone, and with nothing around it for miles, there was a single treasure chest. Darmok stared at it with skepticism and wariness. He approached slowly, before he could see teeth affixed where the chest would open. With a startled expression, he simply strung up an arrow that had one of the explosives he and Oasna had wrested from the Iron Horde in Taanan tied to it, and let it fly. The chest exploded, pieces scattering everywhere... and then he found himself back in the canyon.
The clan was no where to be seen, but Mok'Kaira stood by, staring at the spot, apparently, that Darmok had disappeared from, and returned to. At her feet were the shards of the stone. She bowed her head, pointing at them with her nose. Apparently, she had gotten a scent off them. Or perhaps something more; she was keenly tied to the void after all.
At a clan gathering afterwards, he informed the Chieftain of the discovery Mok'Kaira had made, but he began the new hunt before this gathering occurred. The scent was followed, with Mok'Kaira leading the pack this time around. She discerned three locations where the scent led. Into Nagrand, into Shadowmoon, and into Taanan. The Chieftain cautioned against going into Taanan at this time, but Darmok felt a panging need to get this over with quickly. With Bagatru as support, Darmok would lead his pack into Shadowmoon, and there, he discovered one of the stone shards resided within a Void Lord. Very probably it was one of the same Void Lords that Darmok had saved Mok'Kaira from. Thus, the Shadowmoon Clan would be at the heart of this. Or at least, some renegade Shadowmoon Orcs, if not the whole of the clan.
